What are your rates?
One Simple Rate — $75 (CAD) /hour covers care for 1 to 4 children.

How do I book?
Booking is simple through our website. Choose your sitter, select your time, and pay securely online.
Is there a minimum booking time?
Yes, bookings start at a 3-hour minimum.
Can I extend my booking if needed?
Yes. If your sitter is available, you can extend your booking. Just confirm with them directly, and we’ll adjust the time and payment.
What ages do you care for?
We care for children aged 6 months and up, including infants, toddlers, and school-aged children.
Where does care take place?
We provide in-home babysitting and care for children in your accommodation—whether that’s a hotel, vacation rental, condo, or private residence in Whistler.
Who are your babysitters?
Our babysitters are experienced, carefully selected childcare professionals with backgrounds in early childhood education, camps, ski schools, and youth programs. Each sitter is thoroughly vetted and chosen for their warmth, reliability, and ability to connect with children of all ages.
All babysitters hold valid First Aid and CPR certifications and have completed comprehensive police background checks.
Can I choose my babysitter?
Yes. You can select a babysitter who best fits your family’s needs and preferences, subject to availability.
How will my kids spend their time?
Our babysitters tailor each day to your child’s age, interests, and energy level. Depending on your preferences, children may enjoy quiet play and creative activities at home, time outdoors exploring Whistler’s neighbourhoods, or gentle adventures such as nature walks and nearby parks.
Above all, we focus on creating a supportive, engaging, and safe environment where children feel comfortable and cared for.
Optional & Peak-Time Charges.
Families are responsible for any costs associated with requested activities or outings. If the sitter joins your family for a meal at a restaurant during the booking, the sitter’s meal is also covered by the family.
Double rates apply on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1. All Canadian statutory holidays and Valentine’s Day incur a 50% rate increase.
Do you offer care for children with additional needs?
Yes. We are happy to support families with children who have additional needs. Some of our babysitters have experience working with children who require extra support, including those with developmental, sensory, or behavioural needs.
We encourage families to share details during booking so we can ensure the best possible match and provide care that feels comfortable and supportive for your child.
Are you insured?
Yes, Blackcomb Babysitting is fully insured, giving families peace of mind knowing their children are in safe, responsible hands. You can feel confident knowing we meet the highest standards of care and safety.
What is your cancellation policy?
We reserve babysitting time specifically for your family. If plans change, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice.
Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, including same-day cancellations or unused booked time, are charged in full. All bookings are charged for the full reserved time, regardless of actual usage.
Gratuities for Babysitters
Gratuities are never expected. Some families choose to leave a tip, and if so, 100% goes directly to your sitter.
If you’d like to add a gratuity, you’re welcome to leave cash with your sitter or let them know, and they will add it to the booking for you.
