Meet Susan Pullan

Founder & Early Childhood Educator

Susan is an Early Childhood Educator, adaptive ski instructor and mum with over 15 years of experience working with children. Her background includes daycares, after-school programs, summer camps, ski and bike programs, cruise ships and family childcare.

She has worked with children of different ages and abilities and loves bringing energy and creativity into her time with them. Whether they’re getting outside, playing games, doing crafts or having a quieter evening, Susan enjoys getting to know each child and following their individual interests.

As the founder of Blackcomb Babysitting, Susan understands how much trust it takes to leave your child with someone new and wants families to feel completely comfortable with the care they receive.

Meet Meg Halliwell

ECE Educator, Wilderness First Responder

Meg is an Early Childhood Educator with 10 years of experience supporting children in classroom, outdoor and private childcare settings.

After completing her Early Childhood Care and Education program at Selkirk College, Meg worked in preschools, outdoor education programs and private childcare roles across BC. She is also a Wilderness First Responder and First Aid certified, bringing a strong background in safety alongside her love of creative play and outdoor adventures.

Meg has a calm, caring approach and enjoys creating experiences around each child’s interests, whether that’s getting outside, doing crafts or settling in for a cozy bedtime routine.

Outside of childcare, Meg loves exploring the Sea-to-Sky, rock climbing, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her dog, Gus.


Meet Michelle Cormier

Education Assistant, Infant Nanny & Adaptive Snowsports Instructor

Michelle has years of experience caring for children from infancy through to school age. She has worked as a private nanny for an infant and is confident supporting feeding, naps, play and daily routines while following each family’s individual preferences.

As an Education Assistant, Michelle works with children with a range of learning and additional support needs. Her background also includes children’s camps, after-school programs and recreation activities.

Michelle is a Whistler Blackcomb Ski Instructor and Adaptive Snowsports Instructor and holds First Aid & CPR and Mental Health First Aid certifications. She brings a warm, patient approach to childcare and loves helping children build confidence and have fun.

Outside of work, Michelle loves paddleboarding, biking and skiing — ideally all in the same day.


Meet Harriet Bloomfield

Childcare Professional, Ski Instructor & Multilingual Caregiver

Harriet has extensive experience working with children across Canada, Japan and Europe. Her background includes supporting children at a Waldorf Steiner School in Germany, as well as working as a nanny, au pair, babysitter and ski instructor.

She loves encouraging creativity and independence through child-led play, outdoor adventures and experiences shaped around each child’s interests.

Alongside her childcare experience, Harriet has a background in healthcare and research, specializing in young people’s mental health and wellbeing. This brings an additional depth of understanding, empathy and communication to her work with children and families.

Fluent in English and German, Harriet enjoys connecting with families from around the world and brings a warm, patient and reassuring approach to childcare.


Meet Rebeca Santamaria

Early Childhood Educator & Teacher

Rebeca is an experienced educator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education and an Early Childhood Education Assistant qualification in BC. She has worked with children in schools, daycares and youth programs in Whistler and Spain, including Whistler Waldorf School and local childcare centres.

Currently completing her Master’s in Special Education, Rebeca is passionate about supporting children’s individual needs and creating inclusive, engaging experiences where they can feel confident and be themselves.

Alongside her work in education, Rebeca is a mountain bike coach with a strong background in sport and outdoor programming. She loves bringing creativity and activity into her time with children, whether they’re playing, learning or getting outside.

Rebeca also speaks Spanish and loves spending her free time outdoors and staying active in the Sea-to-Sky.

Meet Danya Nonis

Certified Yoga Therapist, Recreation Leader

Danya brings over 20 years of experience in education, recreation and wellness, working with children and adults across a variety of settings.

Her background includes roles as a Yoga Therapist, Recreation Leader and Program Supervisor, and she holds diplomas in Yoga Therapy and Recreation Leadership. Danya also has extensive training in trauma-informed care, mindfulness and adaptive programming, giving her a thoughtful and inclusive approach to supporting different needs and personalities.

Calm and compassionate, Danya enjoys bringing creativity, mindful movement and outdoor exploration into her time with children, while creating an environment where they can relax, have fun and be themselves.

Meet Rachel Meaney

Ski & Snowboard Instructor, Adaptive Sports Specialist

Rachel brings over 10 years of experience working with children and families through recreation, education and adaptive sports.

Her background includes working as a ski and snowboard instructor, adaptive snowsports coach and summer adventure leader, supporting children from toddlers through to teenagers. She holds Adaptive Snowsports Level 3, CSIA and CASI Level 2, as well as OFA Level 3 First Aid.

Rachel loves sharing her passion for the mountains with children and brings the same patience and encouragement to childcare, whether she’s planning a creative activity indoors or getting outside to explore.

Warm and energetic, she enjoys helping children build confidence, try new things and have fun.

Meet Keira Murray

Educator, Outdoor Leader, and Recreation Specialist

Keira has a diverse background in education, recreation and outdoor leadership, with years of experience supporting children and young people.

With a foundation in Health and Physical Education and Outdoor Leadership, Keira has worked as an Education Assistant in local schools and a Snow School Supervisor at Whistler Blackcomb. She has also supported youth and community programs through organizations including AWARE Whistler and the Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council.

Keira enjoys combining creativity, learning and outdoor exploration in her time with children. Her organized, thoughtful approach allows her to adapt activities to different ages and interests, whether that means nature play, games or a quieter evening indoors.


Meet Willow Shore

Early Childhood Educator & Social Work Professional

Willow brings over 10 years of experience in early education, social work and family support.

She holds qualifications in Childhood Education and Care and a Bachelor of Social Work, with experience across early childhood centres, primary education support, disability mentoring and community programs.

Willow has worked with children with a range of needs and brings a strong understanding of child development, family support and inclusive care to her babysitting. She enjoys getting to know each child and adapting her approach to their personality, interests and routines.

Warm, grounded and attentive, Willow creates a relaxed environment where children can feel comfortable, have fun and enjoy their time with her.


Meet Chantel Whiteman

Mountain Sports Instructor & Outdoor Leader

Chantel brings 12 years of experience working with children across six countries, combining childcare with an extensive background in outdoor leadership and recreation.

She is a PMBIA Level 2 Mountain Bike Instructor, former Bike Park Supervisor and children’s program coordinator, with experience across biking, snow-school operations and recreational programs. Her work has included planning age-appropriate activities, supporting children as they learn new skills and leading other instructors.

Creative and energetic, Chantel loves making experiences fun and memorable for children — something she has even done as an elf in Lapland.

Her international experience and positive approach make her comfortable working with children and families from a wide variety of backgrounds.


Meet Amanda Drage

Ski Instructor & Yoga Teacher

Amanda brings 10 years of experience teaching skiing at Whistler Blackcomb, including roles with Adaptive, Creekside, Privates and the Senior Ski Team.

CSIA Level 2 and CADS Level 1 instructor, and former Rookie of the Year, Amanda has extensive experience helping children develop confidence while making new experiences enjoyable.

She is also a certified RYT 200 Yoga Teacher and has taught both children and adults throughout Whistler. Her background in kinesiology, leadership and community programming adds to her understanding of movement, development and engaging children in age-appropriate activities.

Amanda brings a warm, encouraging approach to childcare and enjoys everything from active outdoor play to creative, relaxed time indoors.


Meet Sawyer O’Dwyer

Adaptive Ski Instructor, Conductor & Childcare Professional

Sawyer brings over 10 years of professional experience working with children across summer camps, swimming instruction, ski schools and adaptive programs.

She is a Level 3 Adaptive Ski Instructor, Adaptive Course Conductor for Levels 1 and 2, and Level 2 CSIA Instructor. Sawyer also holds a degree in Kinesiology, giving her a strong understanding of movement, development and adapting activities to individual abilities.

Named Instructor of the Year, Sawyer has extensive experience working with children of different ages and needs and loves helping them build confidence through fun, engaging experiences.

Thoughtful and encouraging, she enjoys adapting activities around each child’s interests and energy, whether they’re spending time outdoors or enjoying a quieter evening.


Meet Greta Gajda

Childcare Provider & Outdoor Educator

Greta brings over 25 years of experience working with children across childcare, outdoor education and sport.

Her extensive background includes working as a ski instructor, snowboard instructor, bike coach and co-owner of a children’s bike camp. She is also an experienced sailing, paddleboarding and canoeing instructor, giving her an incredible range of experience engaging children in active environments.

Greta holds a degree in Business and Sports Science and volunteers as a youth leader with Scouts Canada, continuing her long-standing involvement in youth development and mentorship.

As a mum of three, Greta also brings plenty of practical family experience. She is confident, energetic and fun, and loves helping children get involved, try new things and enjoy themselves.


Meet Nicki Paul

Child & Youth Care Professional

Nicki brings over 10 years of experience supporting children, youth and families across British Columbia.

With a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care, her background includes schools, community programs and family support. She currently works with students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 and has extensive experience supporting children through big emotions, social challenges and life transitions.

Nicki’s professional training includes trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, and First Aid & CPR, giving her a strong foundation for supporting children with different needs.

Calm and thoughtful, Nicki enjoys adapting to what each child needs in the moment, whether that’s creative play, homework, conversation or simply settling in for a relaxed movie afternoon.


Meet Jenna Zangari 

Early Childhood Educator & Education Assistant

Jenna brings over 10 years of experience supporting children and families and has lived in Whistler for more than 16 years.

She works as an Education Assistant with the Sea to Sky School District and supports children through the Kids on the Go program with the Resort Municipality of Whistler.

Jenna holds an Early Childhood Education Certificate and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She also has extensive experience supporting children with diverse learning needs and academic tutoring, helping children develop confidence both socially and academically.

Calm and patient, Jenna enjoys getting to know each child and is equally comfortable with creative play, homework, activities or helping children settle into their evening routine.

Meet Rose Trueman

BC Teacher, Ski Instructor

Rose brings over 8 years of experience across teaching, ski instruction and childcare, with a strong background working with children of different ages and abilities.

She holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts & Science from McGill University. As a K–12 teacher in BC, Rose has supported students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles.

Alongside teaching, Rose is a certified ski instructor and has experience leading childcare programs, giving her a natural ability to combine play, learning and outdoor adventure.

Warm, creative and adaptable, Rose enjoys following each child’s interests, whether that means activities and games, getting outside or winding down for bedtime.
